The Certificate I Workplace Skills (BSB10120) course focuses on ICT and the basic skills needed to use a computer and complete basic ICT tasks in a workplace. There are no entry requirements for this qualification.
This course runs over 1 or 2 years (dependant on time allocation and student skill level) and the 6 units of competency that make up this course are clustered across 3 clustered assessment tasks that students are required to complete:
- ICT and me
- ICT on the job
- ICT workplace data
Within these folios students are required to participate in a variety of theory and practical activities to gain competency in each unit including oral questioning, portfolios, product evidence and observations.
Students are required to participate in a variety of projects including the production of a resume and a research based PowerPoint.
