The Special Education Training Alliance (SETA) schools have the ability to deliver the following courses:
SETA schools individually decide what courses are delivered at each site in consultation with the SETA registered training organisation (RTO) manager. The decision to deliver courses is dependant on several factors; the skill set of staff to deliver specific courses, the employability needs of the local area, the facilities available at the site and most importantly the student interest in the courses.
SETA courses are generally run over a 2 year period at schools except where negotiated with the RTO manager and an extra time allocation has been provided by the school to allow courses to be completed in a 12 month period. Students generally start the courses in Years 10 or 11 and have the opportunity to complete them by the time they finish Year 12.
It is important to note that regular attendance of students who participate in the course is vital to ensure students have every opportunity to successfully complete courses.
