Certificate I Information Digital Media and Technology

​The Certificate I Information, Digital Media and Technology (ICT10115) course focuses on the basic skills needed to use a computer in workplace.

This course runs over 1-2 years and the 6 units of competency that make up this course are clustered across 4 work folios that students are required to complete:

  1. Introduction to computers
  2. Resume
  3. The technological world
  4. ‘All about me’ PowerPoint research task.

Within these folios students are required to participate in a variety of theory and practical activities to gain competency in each unit including oral questioning, worksheets, production of task evidence and observations.

Students are required to participate in a variety of projects including the production of a resume and a research based PowerPoint. Several of the smaller assessment items are specific to each site and schools link this course into internal work experience tasks which include but are not limited to - the production of the school newsletter, end of year mini magazine, end of year graduation PowerPoint and production of end of year Christmas cards from the school.
